United Airlines has received FAA approval for its first Starlink-equipped aircraft, with the inaugural commercial flight scheduled for May on a United Express Embraer 175. The airline plans to install the high-speed internet service on approximately 40 regional jets monthly, aiming to equip its entire 300-plane regional fleet before 2025. The service will offer free Wi-Fi to MileagePlus members, promising internet speeds 50 times faster than current options, enabling streaming, shopping, and gaming at 35,000 feet.
