The Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) hosted the Team Redstone Advance Planning Briefings to Industry in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, for the first time since 2020. The event, which has attracted over 600 registered attendees, is a forum for information exchange and discussions, best conducted face-to-face. The event provides small and large businesses with an opportunity to hear about technology and potential contracts, engage in networking discussions, and understand the Army's direction. Small business attendees also benefit from matchmaking sessions, which facilitate connections and relationships by pairing small businesses with large corporations in 10-minute increments. This year's event included 50% more opportunities, with the time block expanding from four hours to six. The Office of Small Business Programs Outreach Coordinator, Anntronett Washington, said the matchmaking sessions are a critical event for her office, providing small business owners with a one-stop solution.
