Meta has been forced to reconsider its plans to build a nuclear-powered data center in the US due to a rare species of bee. This discovery poses problems for Meta in the form of environmental as well as regulatory challenges in finalizing the deal. The setback puts Meta behind Amazon, Google, and Microsoft, which are already planning dedicated nuclear power stations for data centers.
