Microsoft and Intel have been inseparable partners for long. Intel made the x86 chips that were the heart of a PC motherboard, and Microsoft made the Windows operating system that ran on those PCs. Now, Qualcomm's introduction of the Snapdragon X series has the potential to flip the game board completely. The question now is whether Intel can start innovating in ARM. Because, if it can't come up with a "Qualcomm killer" soon, then it's game over.
