China has lifted its 125% retaliatory tariffs on select US semiconductor imports, as reported by Caijing. Though tariffs on memory chips remain, at least eight integrated circuit-related tariffs have been exempted, with duties paid between April 10-24 eligible for refunds. The report, however, was later removed from Caijing's site. Market reactions saw Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corp shares drop 1.3% and Hua Hong Semiconductor fall 4.4%, while the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 1.9%.
