McAfee Corp., a global leader in online protection, in collaboration with Dell Technologies, conducted the Global Small Business Study, surveying small business owners and IT decision makers across six countries. The study reveals that cybersecurity is a major concern for 73% of small businesses globally, with 44% having experienced cyberattacks, and 17% facing more than one. In 67% of cases, the attacks occurred in the last two years, indicating a rising threat. A single cyber incident can have severe financial consequences, with 61% of affected businesses losing over $10,000. The impact extends beyond finances, affecting mental and physical well-being. 43% of cyberattacks are caused by unintentional malware downloads, with AI playing a significant role in cyber threats. McAfee's Business Protection provides comprehensive security solutions for small businesses, despite only 48% of them being confident in preventing cyberattacks.
